Heb 8:1 Now here is the point of what’s being said. This is the kind of Ruling Priest we have: One who is seated to the right of the Throne of Majesty in the heavens,
Heb 8:2 and who officiates in the holy place of the true Tent of Meeting pitched not by humans but by the Master.
Heb 8:3 Every priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices, so this One must also bring an offering.
Heb 8:4 Ironically, on earth he would not even be a priest at all, since there are already priests offering gifts according to the law.
Heb 8:5 But they offer divine service that is only a shadow and pattern of the heavenly ones. For that same reason Moses was instructed about how to complete the Tent of Meeting; “See to it that you make everything according to the model you were shown in the mountain.”
Heb 8:6 Yet now this One has come to a superior divine service, by virtue of the fact that he is the mediator of a superior contract, one based upon superior promises.
Heb 8:7 For if that first one had been blameless, there would have been no need to look for a second.
Heb 8:8 He lays blame by saying this: “Look! The days are coming,” says the Master, “when I will confirm a new contract with the houses of Israel and Judah,
Heb 8:9 not like the old one I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt. They broke their old contract with me and I neglected them.
Heb 8:10 But here is the new contract I will make with the house of Israel in those last days,” says the Master. “I will put my laws into their minds and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God and they will be my people.
Heb 8:11 Then they will no longer teach each other to know the Master, because everyone will know me, from the smallest to the greatest of them.
Heb 8:12 For I will be appeased to their injustices and forget their failures.”
Heb 8:13 So he is saying that the old one is fading away, old and weak and almost gone.

Heb 8:1 κεφαλαιον δε επι τοις λεγομενοις τοιουτον εχομεν αρχιερεα ὁς εκαθισεν εν δεξια του θρονου της μεγαλωσυνης εν τοις ουρανοις
Heb 8:2 των ἁγιων λειτουργος και της σκηνης της αληθινης ἡν επηξεν ὁ κυριος ουκ ανθρωπος
Heb 8:3 πας γαρ αρχιερευς εις το προσφερειν δωρα τε και θυσιας καθισταται ὁθεν αναγκαιον εχειν τι και τουτον ὁ προσενεγκη
Heb 8:4 ει. μεν γαρ ην επι γης ουδ᾽ αν ην ἱερευς οντων των προσφεροντων κατα νομον τα δωρα
Heb 8:5 οἱτινες ὑποδειγματι και σκια λατρευουσιν των επουρανιων καθως κεχρηματισται μωϋσης μελλων επιτελειν την σκηνην ὁρα γαρ φησιν ποιησεις παντα κατα τον τυπον τον δειχθεντα σοι εν τω ορει
Heb 8:6 νυνι δε διαφορωτερας τετευχε λειτουργιας ὁσω και κρειττονος εστιν διαθηκης μεσιτης ἡτις επι κρειττοσιν επαγγελιαις νενομοθετηται
Heb 8:7 ει. γαρ ἡ πρωτη εκεινη ην αμεμπτος ουκ αν δευτερας εζητειτο τοπος
Heb 8:8 μεμφομενος γαρ αυτους λεγειν ιδου ἡμεραι ερχονται λεγειν κυριος και συντελεσω επι τον οικον ισραηλ και επι τον οικον ιουδα διαθηκην καινην
Heb 8:9 ου κατα την διαθηκην ἡν εποιησα τοις πατρασιν αυτων εν ἡμερα επιλαβομενου μου της χειρος αυτων εξαγαγειν αυτους εκ γης αιγυπτου ὁτι αυτοι ουκ ενεμειναν εν τη διαθηκη μου καγω ημελησα αυτων λεγειν κυριος
Heb 8:10 ὁτι αὑτη ἡ διαθηκη ἡν διαθησομαι τω οικω ισραηλ μετα τας ἡμερας εκεινας λεγειν κυριος διδους νομους μου εις την διανοιαν αυτων και επι καρδιας αυτων επιγραψω αυτους και εσομαι αυτοις εις θεον και αυτοι εσονται μοι εις λαον
Heb 8:11 και ου μη διδαξωσιν ἑκαστος τον πολιτην αυτου και ἑκαστος τον αδελφον αυτου λεγων γνωθι τον κυριον ὁτι παντες ειδησουσιν με απο μικρου αυτων ἑως μεγαλου αυτων
Heb 8:12 ὁτι ἱλεως εσομαι ταις αδικιαις αυτων και των ἁμαρτιων αυτων ου μη μνησθω ετι
Heb 8:13 εν τω λεγειν καινην πεπαλαιωκεν την πρωτην το δε παλαιουμενον και γηρασκον εγγυς αφανισμου
