10:1 And I saw another strong Messenger descending out of the sky. He had been clothed with a cloud and there was a rainbow over his head. His face was like the sun and his feet were like pillars of fire.

10:2 In his right hand he held a little open scroll. He placed his right foot on the sea and his left on the land.

10:3 He called out in a loud voice like the roar of a lion, and the seven thunders responded.

10:4 When they did, I intended to write it down but I heard a voice from the sky saying, “Seal up what the seven thunders said and do not write it down.”

10:5 Then the Messenger I had seen standing on the sea and the land lifted his right hand to the sky.

10:6 He swore an oath to the Eternal Living One, who formed the sky, the earth, the sea, and all they contain, that there will be no more delay:

10:7 in the day that the seventh Messenger sounds the trumpet the secret of God will be completed, which is the Gospel he announced to his slaves the prophets.

10:8 Then the voice I had heard from the sky spoke to me again and said, “Go and take the open scroll from the hand of the Messenger standing on the sea and the land.”

10:9 So I went to the Messenger and asked for the little scroll, and he replied, “Take it and eat it; it will upset your belly but taste as sweet as honey in your mouth.”

10:10 Then I took the little scroll out of his hand and ate it, and it did in fact taste as sweet as honey in my mouth but upset my belly.

10:11 Then he says to me, “You must prophesy again to people groups, nations, languages, and many kings.”
